Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actor as a child shortly after moving to the United States. In AT&T commercials on television she played the character as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 to 2016 and then in 2020. Commercial appearances weren't the only thing she did. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and she left antisemitism at two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. She started performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due to the family's financial troubles. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit following her sophomore year. She she was able to get an GED and went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied the art of improv comedy.
